Needle-felting is achieved by poking wool roving or wool sliver with a special barbed needle many times until it begins to felt together. As you poke you are able to shape the wool to form any 3-dimensional shape you want. The finished piece is firm and is made of felted wool all the way through, so there is no stuffing needed and no stitching together either.
